Carolyn,
I attended your show this evening 05-22-2012 at the Broken Spoke in Austin. I was not sure how a lady would pull off western swing music but you do a fantastic job. I was very glad I went, even for the short time I was able to be there.
I have played traditional country music for the last 43 years, not much in the last 10 now I do mostly country Gospel music when I play. I have evn worked up The Kind of Love and also a Gospel song words to Faded Love to keep some western swing in with our Gospel show.
If you ever are in dire need for a drummer or bass guitar player let me know I might be able to help you out. Or if you are in need of any musicians in the central Texas or anywhere in Texast me know I would be happy to help you out if I could, I still have a lot of country music contacts in central Texas.
I worked for a couple of years in a band that was Curtis Potter's backup band and I have worked for Johnny Bush on several occasions and once for Hank Thompson.
Sorry to bore you with my life story but if you are in the area again I will be sure to try to come see you. And now I am on the road with my job quite a bit so I need to keep a closer look at your schedule.
Thank you again for a fantasic show.

We (my mom, dad, husband and I) heard your CD playing in a shop in Old ABQ. The shop is called the Vintage Cowgirl. We enjoyed the CD I looked up your website and ordered 2 Cookin' With Carolyn. One for my folks and one for my husband and I.
Do you have anything scheduled for Milwalkee or anywhere around Gurnee Il? My folks would love to see you sing. They do not have email so can't sign up for updates.

Old buddy and fellow Texan, DJ Red Jones at WKNG, Tallapoosa GA, played my new Texas Swing song Wherever In Texas (pre-release) Thursday morning, Jan 27, 2011, and emailed me "...Are you familar with Carolyn Martin? She played the Lowell Opry House here not long ago. We had a strong mutual tie-in...Abilene is her home town and she has spent a lot of time in Baird...releasing Wherever In Texas I think it could be a good western swing hit. Should get good air play in TX." I would like to send it to you, Carolyn, or, You can hear it on ReverbNation/jerrykgreen. (I now live in Hendersonville TN)

Hi Carolyn: Stopped in to hear the clips of the songs, as I always enjoy them even tho I have that one CD with the song Cheatin On Your Baby. I just have to listen to them all the time. Us western swing and ballad lovers can't get enough of them, but mustly since we are of that era of nice sentimental music, it gets to us all the time to hear music and singing as it was meant to be done. Looking to get the latest CD, and drop in on Gaylynn Robinson's site to see the wonderful write-up she did for me. Regards, my lady friend. Louis from Livingston, Montana
